Snow Falling on Cedars

Vintage Theatre presents
Snow Falling on Cedars
from the Book by David Guterson
Adapted for the Stage by Kevin McKeon
Directed by Sam Wood
November 22 – December 15, 2013

A Japanese-American fisherman named Kabuo Miyamoto goes on trial for the murder of Carl Heine, a well-liked local fisherman and respected war veteran. Set in 1954 in a Puget Sound community divided among fishermen and farmers, whites and Japanese, the story is at once a courtroom drama, a mystery, and a love story.  Playwright Kevin McKeon adroitly captures the beauty and mystery of David Guterson’s 1994 award-winning novel in this riveting adaptation.
